Sherry has been sewing for over 5o years. She began her career creating clothing for Mattel's Barbie and other dolls. In the Late 80's she became a master upholsterer, and in the 90's began her own business in LA as a seamstress. Sherry moved to Gualala in 2003 and has been specializing in design and sewing challenges. She is currently excepting jobs including small upholstery, window seat fabrication, alterations, repairs and more... Sherry's craft of reupholstering, altering & repairing furniture / clothing is one way to be more sustainable & helps reduce waste on our planet.

Wedding Dress Save

I bought a fabulous Alberta Feretti linen wedding dress . Months before the wedding, I gained weight to the point the zipper would not go up 12 inches. Sherry and I created a lace up design and added a little extra flare to the gown, as well as recreating my mothers veil into a 15 ft train that kept the original veil protected. She also took up my second dress so It was perfect to dance in.. She has also altered and repaired many clothing items. Sherry's work is high quality and affordable.
